Specifications and User Interface

The OPPO F1S has a 16MP front facing the camera with a comparatively broad aperture of f2.0 which on paper is much better than the 13MP f2.2 combo that was given to the rear camera. Right off the bat, the front facing camera will choose higher resolution stills and let in 25% more light (thanks to the f 2.0 aperture) than the back camera.

Starting the camera user interface is quite easy. On the lock display, you can swipe to launch the camera or write O on the lock screen in case you empower the display off gestures on the settings. You’ll be greeted with a user interface that mimics that of iOS and it is geared to be as easy as possible for the user.

If you’re holding the cellphone in portrait mode, on top, you will notice the flash toggle, HDR (High Dynamic Range) toggle, Settings button, plus a camera switch toggle. At the bottom, there is a carousel which when you swipe along, you’ll be able to change from time-lapse to Video than to Photo, Attractiveness and eventually Panorama modes.

Lastly, at the base, there’s a preview of your photos on your gallery, virtual shutter button, and also a more alternatives button. This button shows you additional settings like the Standard style (which is the default option), Ultra HD, various filters, GIF, Double exposure and Expert manner. This will probably be covered after.

The front as you’d anticipate is mostly taken over by the big 5.5-inch screen. It is nice to notice the display comes with a protective screen guard pre-installed and a fundamental back cover is offered in the carton bundle. The fingerprint scanner and home button lie in the bottom with a capacitive multitasking and back key on both sides of it.

Over on the right-hand side is a metal power key that has only the best amount of giving. Above it is a slot for just two nano SIM cards AS WELL as a microSD card which is increasingly uncommon to see and is most definitely appreciated. The phone charges over a microUSB interface placed on the underside and also a 3.5mm audio jack are placed next to it on the same side. Interestingly, the sides of the mobile are created of plastic unlike the metal rear panel though the two meld into each other rather seamlessly.

Touted as yet another Selfie Expert, the F1s comes with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and a LED flash while a 16MP snapper takes care of the selfie section. Oppo has been focusing on photography and while the F1 and the F1 Plus were above average shots, the new F1s sees a slight improvement over them both.

The camera program is just such as the one on Apple apparatus but it gives the five common manners including time lapse, videos, photo, attractiveness, and panorama that work for the front and also the back camera. Other attributes for the front camera include some filters, a double exposure mode, and just a GIF manner. The rear camera gets the same features with the inclusion of an Ultra HD mode which can shoot 25MP pictures and an expert mode, which is actually a manual style.

Both the front and back cameras can shoot equally good pictures. The focus is quick, colors look very natural and sharpness is nicely maintained, even though the front camera oversharpens pictures on some occasions. The front camera also has a lower focal length so it’s satisfied for closer topics as it can’t focus on objects which are far away.

Day to day performance on the smartphone is great, programs open instantly and even multitasking is managed good thanks to the 3GB of RAM. Gaming proved to be excellent with minor frame falls in games like Asphalt 8 and Dead Trigger 2. The general operation felt close to a superior apparatus and the central processing unit, which is a 64-bit chip from MediaTek proved to be somewhat great. The smartphone doesn’t heat up that much, just two or three cores out of the total 8 centers were functional most of the time. This was likely carried out to improve battery operation on the smartphone.
